Here at The Compleat Food Group we value integrity, courage and being customer first. All our team members across our organisation share these values, but someone who truly embodies them is Anastasia Vikhrova, one of our Process Development Administrators at our Poole Bakery site.
Anastasia joined The Compleat Food Group a year ago after moving to the UK from Ukraine to continue her studies and learn more about the food industry. Since then, Anastasia has settled in well, is a joy to work with and always has a smile on her face.
We caught up with her to find out more about her experience working at Compleat and to hear her story…
“I was in my third year of university studying Biotechnology and Bioengineering in Ukraine, but I had a real desire to work at the same time, so that I could learn more. I’d been writing a science article relating to food manufacturing, which led me towards the food industry. I decided to come to the UK to follow this passion.
“When I first started working at Compleat, I worked in the NPD team with amazing people, which gave me the experience of what it’s really like to be working as part of a team. I spent two great months there, before I moved to the technical team. And you know what? I really enjoy my job! I’ve developed my practical skills in digital and data literacy, I’ve learned how to manage my work and free time and have become a part of a big team, which I want to support in the future.
“I find doing project work, diagrams and working with Excel interesting and sometimes even relaxing, because when you’re concentrating on your work you can’t think about anything else. That helps me a lot, because my family are still in Ukraine and it’s hard to be so far away from them not knowing what could happen.
“I’ve nearly finished my university studies, which I do online around my work hours and I’m living with an incredibly kind and helpful family that have become my friends. I’m pleased to be in the UK and working for The Compleat Food Group, I love it. I don’t know what my future holds, but I feel positive and hopeful for what’s to come.”
