Divisional HR Business Partner – Dual Location

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for enhancing both performance and employee engagement? We are seeking an experienced Divisional HR Business Partner to over see our HR functions in our Middlesbrough and Clitheroe manufacturing sites (5 locations) where you will be part of the site senior leadership teams. A driving licence is required for this role and the availability to travel weekly between the two locations – Middlesbrough would be your base location.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and driving robust site people plan's that effectively balances the dual goals of driving site performance and improving employee engagement across different locations.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership teams in both locations to understand the challenges and goals at all 5 locations, fully diagnosing issues effectively in order to develop robust solutions.
  • Support the deployment of the overall HR strategy ensuring that local plans are aligned
  • Develop and drive the site people plan that effectively balances driving site performance and improving employee engagement
  • Ensure forums are in place (Employee representatives or Trade Union Representatives where recognised) that enable effective communication between the site and employees
  • Implement informal methods for identifying areas of improvement in terms of employee engagement and welfare through conducting HR walk rounds, welfare interviews, attending huddles etc. Our HR teams should be visible in our factory's across all shifts
  • Oversee your team's local site recruitment activity, ensuring candidates receive a positive recruitment experience and action is taken to promote the site externally as a fantastic place to work
  • Own the site retention strategy, ensuring trends are analysed and actions are in place to improve retention
  • Ensure PDP processes are effectively embedded and deployed across sites and they effectively support the delivery of site goals and our Compleat behavioural framework.
  • Support your teams in coaching of site managers and build capability in leadership
  • Ensure site maintains HR related standards as set out in our Manufacturing standards
  • Develop and effectively manage site HR budget
  • Ensure site and group HR reports are completed accurately and on time
  • Work in conjunction with site functions to develop and deliver site strategy and plans.
  • Take part in wider Group HR projects that shape and benefit the wider HR strategy

Who we are looking for:

  • CIPD Qualified to Level 7 or equivalent experience as a site HRM/HRBP
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience of managing/leading a HR function ideally within a fast paced FMCG/ Food environment
  • Solid knowledge of employment law and management of complex cases, consultation processes and negotiations.
  • Experience of building an HR strategy and delivering
  • Experience of presenting to auditors. Ideally managed site SEDEX / SMETA compliance
