We are thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and detail-oriented Site Planning Manager to join our vibrant team at our site in Crewe, on a 9-month fixed term contract. If you have a passion for planning and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Reporting into our Head of Supply Chain, you will manage the overall production for both the savoury/ready meals and sweet bakery factories across all frozen and chilled product sector.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Fridays 08:00-15:00 – who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday!

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors, within the savoury, ready meals, and sweet bakery production facilities
  • Ensure that our overall planning approach optimises production run lengths/SKU stock levels
  • Produce a weekly production plan for both factories that respects both the available capacities of each respective production line and the required technical, food safety and hygiene policies
  • Ensure that required amounts of raw materials and packaging are available for every weekly production plan
  • Regularly liaise with the logistics & transport manager to ensure that the appropriate distribution arrangements are in place to deliver all required customer orders
  • Continually monitor overall finished stock levels
  • Attend daily senior operations meeting and report on performance to plan together with associated actions to adjust for any under/over performance.
  • Work with the new product development (NPD) team to ensure that all agreed EPD/NPD projects are delivered on time, to agreed customer brief/expectations and in the with anticipated product cost standards
  • Work with the site director to deliver any business capital projects ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with the approved capex
  • Ensure that all planning staff have up to date and well-defined job descriptions and are totally briefed and aligned with all company policies, especially with the latest employee handbook

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience within an FMCG environment
  • Proven experience of managing a complex production planning facility
  • Working knowledge of TROPOS and associated systems
  • Proven ability to plan, organise and communicate
  • Good market knowledge of operational equipment suppliers
  • Knowledge of baking process and the functionality of key raw materials
  • High level of UT skills (eg word/excel/PowerPoint/outlook)
